Another Texas Shooting: A nightmare and a reality

The US has once again been faced with another heart-wrenching deliberate attack.

Unfortunately, it’s no real shock that yet another shooting has taken place, as the statistics on gun violence increase year-on-year.

Last weekend a man opened fire at a university party in Greenville Texas, where 750 students attended to celebrate Halloween. 

On Saturday night the gunman killed two and injured twelve people, with eight of these suffering gunshot wounds.

Following the attack, chaos exacerbated the situation as everyone, including the shooter, ran for their lives. The authorities arrested a 22-year old male on Monday morning, less than 48 hours after the shooting.

It’s a terrifying realization that deliberate mass attacks across America are happening on a regular basis. In fact, it’s been reported by some media organizations that there have been more mass shootings than days in this year!
