It’s been a devastating few days for many, as a display of 2 horrific shootings in the U.S. raise concerns for detrimental change. A gunman opened fire in a Grocery store in Buffalo on Saturday, resulting in 10 tragic loss of lives. This horrifying attack turned out to be a hate crime, and the residents of the neighborhood were left terrified, angry and grief stricken in the shocking event.
“The attack was a painful reminder of the fragility of life in America, where everyday moments — working a Saturday shift, taking a friend to buy groceries, picking up a cake for a child’s birthday — can end in tragedy.” - LA Times
Only a day later, another shooting occurred in Laguna Woods at a Taiwanese Church. What should have been an enjoyable lunch banquet turned into horror as a gunman sealed the doors to prevent parishioners escaping and opened fire. Between 30-40 people were in attendance, and the attack ended with 5 injured and 1 fatality. In the midst of the horror, heroic scenes were displayed as many of the churchgoers including the pastor tackled the gunman to the ground and retrieved his weapons before first responders arrived.
“Undersheriff Jeff Hallock said, “It’s safe to say that had they not intervened this situation could have been much worse.” - LA Times
Heartbreak and grief pours over the U.S. after hearing of these events, and at TyTek we send our deepest condolences to all of the families and friends of those who have been injured or lost their lives. We know there needs to be desperate change in this country, as we cannot continue to see these tragic shootings occur any longer. We are here to provide educational support and prepare you with the necessary knowledge to act in case of an emergency situation.
Bleed Control stations should be placed in every place that has medium to large gatherings, such as schools, concerts, subways, grocery stores and places of worship. The benefits of having supplies at point-of-injury are to provide medical assistance before the first responders arrive, potentially saving lives.
"Every second of the Platinum Ten minutes counts (highlighted in recent medical research as the key time in which you can save lives) and our kits will help you to help others."
- Chris Tyler, TyTek Group President
