What is a must-see at SOMA exhibition this year?

It’s an exciting time this week as it’s SOMA 2023! Furthermore, we are proud to say that TyTek Medical will be exhibiting this year on booth 1019 from May 16 - 19 at the Raleigh Convention Centre, NC. But what is SOMA and why should you attend?

SOMA (Special Operations Medical Association) will be hosting their event this week to include 5 days of training, education and networking. Vendors will get a fantastic opportunity to network with military and civilian providers, academia, and industry partners. “SOMA is the largest gathering of SOF medical providers in the world that includes U.S. military, foreign military, domestic tactical law enforcement and tactical EMS providers.” - specialoperationsmedicine.org

So what’s on at SOMA 2023?

Attendees from all over will be able to experience the advancing art of special operations, with a packed schedule including educational seminars and workshops. You can see the full exhibition schedule here. There will be a vast range of exhibitors at this year’s show, so be sure to browse and stop by our booth 1019 to discuss:

  • The importance of first aid training, in particular bleeding control
  • What our mission is at TyTek Medical
  • Our award-winning emergency medical supplies
  • How to become better educated, equipped, and empowered to save a life.

We will be showcasing our innovative MCI bag at our booth this year. Categorically, nobody before us in the emergency medical industry has designed a trauma kit that folds out to allow side-by-side working with added extendable floodlights. This unique feature takes care of poor visibility and frees the hands of rescuers while bringing some order to a chaotic situation. Discover more about the MCI bag here.

"We are excited to be able to meet and talk with many attendees and providers from all over the world and share our innovative bleeding control products." - Matt Eccles, Marketing Director of TyTek Group

The importance of bleeding control education cannot be underestimated.

It is our sole purpose to provide civilians and people of all skill levels the confidence to act in an emergency situation. With the terrible increase in mass casualty incidents in America, it’s our duty to push bleeding control education as much as possible. Severe bleeding is the leading cause of pre-hospital fatalities, mostly because of poor education or lack of access to medical supplies. During STOP THE BLEED® month we're here to deliver a pulse-pounding update on life-saving bleeding control techniques and products, which is why we’ll be here on booth 1019 sharing our military grade bandages and gauze at a special discounted price! See the full product promo details here and please get in touch with us if you would like to benefit from this fantastic promo.

Our products were developed for the battlefield, however with many public disasters happening we saw a desperate need for point-of-injury medical supplies. For large gatherings such as concerts, festivals and even the everyday morning commute, we need to be prepared for any deliberate attack or accidental incident. If you’re looking for more educational medical information please check out our education hub for free brochures and demo videos on the basics of first aid and bleeding control.
